St. Patty's Day!

I know it was a month ago already, but we had some fun with Brooklyn. My coworker has this green tub that says "Happy St. Patricks Day"on it and she let me borrow it to take some pictures. She did the same with her daughter and it was a cute idea.

Well I put Brooklyn in her cute little tutu and stuck her in the tub and starting taking pictures. At first, she was just holding a mini box of Lucky Charms, that was sweet. THEN the fun started. Mike was pouring Marshmallow Maties into the tub and Brooklyn was trying to catch them all in her mouth! Adorable. She's been feeding herself finger foods, but one at a time. Now, she was ready to try several at a time. She put her mouth right up to the bag like she was gulping them down. They were stuck to her face and I 'm pretty sure that, despite my best efforts, she enjoyed some of the marshmallow treats. I was snapping away with the camera, it only lasted a few minutes but, boy, it was sure cute.

Home projects!

I've been so reluctant to post pictures because things are a mess right now! I know you're only supposed to do one project at a time but it seems like one can't be done without the other.

So! We got all new doors that are so pretty! But before you can do doors you have to do the tile. So we are in the process of laying tile. So no base boards.

We also are having the interior painted so before that can be done we bullnosed all the corners. Dust everywhere.

And on an unrelated topic, we've been working outside too. The front yard still has some trees and bushes but for the most part is is dirt now. Somehow the dirt is so much prettier than all those overgrown junipers and rocks that used to engulf the yard.

I promise I haven't fallen off the earth. Home projects can be very exciting, and draning!

Halloween

So Mike and I dressed up for Halloween, I have a picture I'll post. I was an outlet and he was the plug, it was a couples type of thing. (My hair is supposed to look like i was electrocuted) I was so excited to hand out candy for the first time that we bought $20 worth. So they have this huge carnival across the street at the school- my street was crowded! Silly me to think trick-or-treaters would come by! I think our doorbell rang about 8 times... needless to say we had a ton of candy left over! I even decorated the porch.

And! The landscape people finally came back! This has been a headache and a long drawn out thing but it is finally cleaned up! Now- it doesn't look complete, but all the junipers are out and things look tidier!

Our house in the middle of our street

Ok, I really am trying to figure this out but I am having a difficult time! I'll try posting, see how it goes, let me know.

So our house is coming along. We are in the middle of having people tear out old dead landscaping, so it looks really ugly in our front and back yard. I've painted the breakfast nook like a nice sage green and Mike is half-way done with putting up the wainescot. (I don't know how to spell that.) Our lavender bathroom is now primered white as well as our hot pink bathroom. It's all little things but they add up! You know all we have left is carpet, hardwood flooring, baseboards, doors, doorhandles, blinds, and a few light fixtures, and new kitchen appliances! Eventually new tiling in the showers too! I get so excited-I want to do it all now! But it's going to take a very long time I'm thinking.

So in the meantime we are just boring. We did Jeep up to Bluejay and eat at "The Malt Shop" though...
